Setup

From scratch.

Account, a script from the Store, then Windows + Jagex Launcher + RuneLite. No coding.

    Create a Vanguard account

    Register with Google or email. The launcher uses that same login. Then claim a free script or buy one — nothing runs until a script is on the account.

    Install Jagex Launcher and RuneLite

    If you already play Old School on this PC, you have both. If not, install Jagex Launcher and RuneLite first.

    Unzip the download

    Put the folder on your Desktop. Do not unzip into Program Files. If Windows blocks the .exe files: right-click each one → Properties → Unblock → Apply.

    Install the plugin once

    Open the unzipped folder and double-click Install plugin.bat. That copies Vanguard into RuneLite. You only do this once.

    Start a Control Session

    Double-click OSRS Control Session.exe. First time: Jagex Launcher opens — log in and click Play on Old School. If RuneLite opens from Jagex, close it. A small window waits until the login is saved, then Control Session starts RuneLite. Don’t open normal RuneLite yourself.

    Open VanguardBOT

    Double-click VanguardBOT.exe. Log in with Google or the same email. Pick a script. When the status says In game, press the green button.
